I maintain that there are different forms of intelligence. You can be a genius musician while not being able to do an algebraic equation.
I'm certainly school smart, but in terms of music, mechanics, and math past calc I'm a complete idiot. (Although I say at suck at math, pre-calculus is still higher average than most high school kids - US ones at least)
