Sometimes I think "Nintendo can't continue relying on the same franchises over and over again to keep them going for the future, there's got to be a breaking point where people get tired of it". And you know what, there just isn't.

2D Mario has proved that with a formula that works, people will just never get tired of it. I suspect a lot of new fans find it as an entry-level point and don't go back to the older games, too.

I feel like a couple of their IP's are getting kinda tired (Animal Crossing perhaps?) but we'll see how they do. We'll certainly see some 20+ million sellers out of Wii-U I would imagine.
