Please prove me wrong with facts or go away and stop trolling, thank you.
|
you are prove-resistant.
Check my sig for example.
or try to explain why it is just natural that the Xbox 360 has 3 times more consoles in stores than the PS3. You come up with so much nonsense like Microsoft-stores ordering more than they need as if the % of MS stores of all the stores worldwide that sell 360s would be significant.
How can you overship in the first place? Retailers ORDER from MS. IF they have enough consoles in supply, why should they order more? Because MS goes to Gamestop telling "buy them or we will punish you!" ?!
We are talking about messed up VGC data and you try to prove people wrong with... VGC data from last year.
Anyway. Head, wall, hurting.

Volume discount? Does that factor into these calculations?
Oh and last time, that was me saying MS over-ordered. I was told it didn't make sense for only MS stores to order that much. The word came out that they had a pseudo price-drop. Then all big retailers had the same thing. Crazy huh?
|
Holiday season last year: Retailes over-ordered! They expected more sales, because of the insane black friday business! It is okay to almost double the days of supply for the Xbox 360 compared to the PS3!
March 2012: $399 Kinect Star Wars bundle (how mass market is that price tag?) made retailers order more 360s, even though they had plenty of supply. It is okay to more than triple the days of supply for the Xbos 360 compared to the PS3.
June 2012 (without any numbers revealed! Yet damage control already working!):Retailers are ordering just because the $99 sale, which turns out to be a $459 deal. It is okay for the Xbox 360 to have more supply.
Just wait till we get the numbers. Maybe MS ships 0.6 million and VGC is right.
|
If Microsoft ships 0.6 million then Vgchartz is over tracking the 360, If MS ships between 0.94 - 1.28 million THEN Vgchartz would be correct
|
you are special... you really are.
0.6 would mean theat VGC is bang on..
|
Nope you're wrong, i've already proved that at this time of year it is normal for Microsoft to have 0.97 - 1.31 million 360's in the retail chain, so please stop spreading your FUD in this thread. What i said is correct:
If Microsoft ships 0.6 million then Vgchartz is over tracking the 360, If MS ships between 0.94 - 1.28 million THEN Vgchartz would be correct
Thank you.

no... you stop portraying your broken logis as fact... history is irrelevant in a market that is falling with declining sales towards the end of a gen. Your damage limitation is frankly pretty embarrassing.
You honestly believe that if MS has 1.28m in supply with currently average weekly sales of 80 to 90k (and falling) going forward then that is correct? That is 15 weeks of supply! almost 4 months!!
but 600k shipped and in supply which would be 7 weeks, almost 2 months... would mean its overtracked?
funny... this is funny.

Oh dear, you couldn't be more wrong again if you tried, looks like i'll have to prove you wrong again with more facts.
Apart from the fact that i have proven that since the start of this generation at this time of year Microsoft has ALWAYS had between 0.97 million and 1.31 million xbox360's in the retail chain, you want to keep deluding yourself that Microsoft having just 0.60 million in the retail chain at the end of this quarter is some how normal, lol.
But hey lets talk about the days of retail supply, since you keep banging on about it. Since the start of this generation Microsoft have had the following average weekly sales for each quarter ending the month of June:
2006 - 98,000
2007 - 79,000
2008 - 117,000
2009 - 106,000
2010 - 128,000
2011 - 144,000
And at the end of each of those quarters Microsoft have had the following amounts of xbox360's in the retail chain:
2006 - 1.30 million
2007 - 1.21 million
2008 - 1.31 million
2009 - 1.28 million
2010 - 1.27 million
2011 - 0.97 million
When you look at how many days worth of supply that works out to you get:
2006 = 93 days
2007 = 107 days
2008 = 78 days
2009 = 85 days
2010 = 70 days
2011 = 47 days
That's a range of 47 to 107 days worth of supply in the retail chain with the average being 80 days.
Wether you like the FACT or not Microsoft like to have anything from a 7 to 15 WEEKS worth of supply in the retail channel at this time of year with the average being 11 and a half weeks
For the quarter that has just gone by Microsoft averaged 99,000 xbox360's per week. Just taking the average of Microsoft liking to have 80 days worth of supply that means MS would ship 1,132,000 Million consoles. Your 600,000 which you keep pulling out of your *** is completely deluded and void of fact.
