You'd think so, and you'd be right. But not 3:1, especially when the more expensive option is 'far superior' technically.

becasue they don't have to.

just like they didn't have to try to catch up to the wii or try to catch up to the DS, Sony knows their consoles get support, the only question is when, could be a year from now or 2 years from now, the Vita will be no different, it's what happens when you make compentent hardware designed to be relevant for more than 4 years
