I'm not too worried about the "dumbing down" concerns. All of the hands-ons so far have been extremely encouraging. I just wonder what they're going to do to replace base invasions.

I am not too concerened it's more streamlining and removing busywork than dumbing down really. And even if it's half the game the original was then it's still probably going to be my GOTY.

I'm glad they're doing it. It would be disappointing if they just remade the first game feature for feature. I've got faith in them not to screw it up.

And did I hear that Sid Meier is recruitable?!
