The fact that you and others need to generalise proves that the fanbase your referring is too small to even be relevant on its own. If the fanbase was actually big enough to be relevant, you wouldn't need to generalise. That's why instead of saying the actual fanbase, you just say all ps3 owners to make it seem like its a big 'situation' which needs 'help' when its really not.. You just need some way to make your trolling seem like relevant discussion, so you generalise insignificant fanbases to give the illusion that you're discussing something that's actually relevant & needs discussion.
