Bit of a stretch, I guess you could argue you are older than the fully commercialised internet (1995).

Of course you could just lie to them, as long as they haven't got lie detector apps on their smartphones.

IMO, it wouldn't really be the internet until it was publicized. That's what makes it the internet.
