The circle pad pro is for games that were ported from console, like MGS3 and Monster Hunter 3G. That picture that showed someone placing a circle pad right below the diamond face buttons would be REALLY terrible design for everyone who will play the other 98% of 3DS games and has to have that second stupid circle pad beneath their thumb.
I think if Sony proved anything; people don't care about two analog sticks on a handheld system; just like how early android and blackberry phones showed that people don't really want all those buttons over a virtual display.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
