| oniyide said: not really buying it, Im asking if you really dont believe that the numerous releases of GH and RB games killed those franchises. Maybe genre was the wrong word to use, as the genre existed before(Parappa) and still exists now(Just Dance, Theatryhtm FF). People didnt get tired of music, thats damn near impossible. THey got tired of having to buy multiple instruments and several different games a year. |
Well I am not trying to say they got tired of music, but more like they got tired of making music their main focus in gaming. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy was successful in Japan because rhythm gaming hasn't died there, and is vastly much more popular than itis here. Just Dance is much less like the other games in that the focus isn't around the music but around the dancing itself. DDR wasn't actually dancing, and more about the music. Same for Guitar Hero and I don't exaclty know what RB stands for. I'm not going to say I know what caused the destruction of the franchise but I'm just saying that the site I was on started to die out as well regardless of it not being really anything like Guitar Hero. It was also free. So yeah. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but that's what it feels like to me. /ramble.
