The problem with saying that is that all the consoles you listed were considered moderately successful to successful. The Saturn did very well in it's home country (not to mention the bad fortunes/reputation started with the 32x and CD to a lesser extent), the Nintendo 64 sold respectfully for it's time and had some of the best selling games of the generation despite arriving much later than it's competitors and poor 3rd party support (You could also say the bad fortunes started with the Virtual Boy which is difficult to consider a home console but equally as difficult to consider a handheld :p), and the PlayStation 3 is doing pretty well for itself now.
Don't get me wrong I get what you're going for with losing their position as market leader and all, but I think it's flawed.
