I do see your point, but isnt Japan nearly always the same? 3ds gets a big release every week and gets a huge boost. Then the rest is nearly always the same. Ps3 and psp ok, vita is average, wii, DS, Xbox all poor.

Well the good thing about the Japan sales thread is that the numbers are usually pretty accurate. There are 3 big trackers in Japan (Media Create, Famitsu/Enterbrain, and Dengeki), so the numbers in there are pretty damn accurate.

As far as VGC numbers...well there are usually adjustments that happen from time to time which tend to make the "discussions" that happen about the numbers pretty moot as they can be changed on a whim (or when quarterly shipment numbers are released). Once the new quartery numbers are released, I'm sure they'll be adjustments again...
