an i7 isn't really worth the money for gaming, a 2500k or 3570 is more than enough for any game out today. A 2600 is actually slower in a few games and even in highly multithreaded games like BF3 it doesn't make a big difference but it's a lot more expensive. The 3770 is significantly better but costs a lot more than the 2500k.
The 2500k is fine
