I agree with the sentiment behind this, but this is exactly why I have such a huge problem with motion controls in a Zelda game. I have no problem giving motion controls a try, and have had fun playing some motion control games, because I can go into those games expecting a motion control experience. When they force motion controls on you in a franchise you have been playing since childhood, though, it is no longer a case of you looking for the same pleasure in a different setting, it is them forcing you to find different pleasure in the same setting.
If they wanted to offer motion controls for people who are into that, obviously I would have no problem with that, as long as the game was playable with a controller. As it is, though, I feel like they destroyed my favorite franchise just so they could cash in on the popularity and goodwill they had built up in order to sell a stupid peripheral (WM+).
