The problem is that Sony seems to have learned little from the problems PSP faced. Moving back to cartridges is a point in their favor, but the software strategy remains almost identical. For the PSP strategy to succeed as far as it did required the mass migration of Japanese developers onto the platform, and that's something Nintendo's trying their darndest to make sure doesn't happen this time around.
