Prediction: Monster Hunter 4 will NOT be a multiplatform title! It was announced exclusively at a Nintendo conference and that's proof enough for me that it'll stay an exclusive. Also the CCP is still be supported by Nintendo for the 3DS XL, so that, in a way, shows that they want Monster Hunter fans to play it on a bigger screen. I strongly don't believe it'll happen.

I'm 99.9% certain it won't be multiplat, but 3DS exclusive.

But, you've gotta remember MH3 was first revealed for the PS3 as an exclusive, before becoming Wii-exclusive. Anything can happen!

I'm fairly certain that MH3 wasn't 'revealed' as a PS3 exclusive.

It was simply in the planning stages for PS3 and then was shifted to wii. There is a big difference between officially announcing a game and showing a trailer and a game being in the planning stages.

Will MH4 go multiplat? Who knows. Maybe. If it does though I would perhaps expect it to go MH4 - 3DS, MH4G - 3DS and Vita.

Citing "high development costs," Capcom has moved development of its formerly PS3-exclusive game to Nintendo's platform.

Seems pretty "PS3-exclusive" to me. And it is unlikely to go multiplat; no previous game in the series has been.

... right all you have done is prove my point. It was in the planning stages for PS3. I don't recall them ever really revealing it as a PS3 exclusive or announcing it as such.

Aside from the video and the fact that, as highlighted in the article, it was a a PS3-exclusive.

So, simply because it was in the planning stage, there was a video and information, revealed by Sony. So to change midway through the planning stage is still a big deal, because it was still being developed with the PS3 in mind, not the Wii.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
