I got the game the Wednesday after it released, played it for a couple of hours, and never wanted to play it again. I picked it up a month later. Once I got over my hatred for the controls (and Kikwi), I began to love the game. It doesn't compare to the first time I played Link to the Past, or that magical moment when I stepped into 3D Hyrule for the first time. It doesn't match the overall polish and epic boss fights of Twilight Princess (and Fi can't hold a candle to Midna in the awesome sidekick department) but I found the game to be extremely enjoyable. It's like a mishmash of all of the great things I liked about Zelda in the past. (...) |
