One reason I think is that Japan likes Nintendo more than America does. I also agree that localization of games should occur more often, as well as globalized releases that it seems Luigi's Mansion will be getting. I think those promote sales, as well as special bundles and designs for the 3DS. |
This can't be the case since PSVita is doing worst than 3DS in North America (and pretty much everwhere).

It can have a small effect. I considered buying a 3DS once they cut the price but I was far more attracted to the hardware of the Vita, so i put off the purchase. If by the end of the year sony still have a weak line-up then I will go ahead and purchase the 3DS, but I'm sure their are other people in my position who haven't bought a 3DS becaus they're waiting to see if the Vita will deliver on its potential. TGS may be sony's last chance for me.
