One reason I think is that Japan likes Nintendo more than America does. Another thing is that I think here in North America, people are more likely to blindly support the system with better specs and write off the other system as a failure, without even considering the systems capabilities. This means "PS Vita is better in every way, 3DS sucks because the PS Vita is so much stronger and the PSP is probably stronger too." I've seen it everywhere and lots of people in person think that, too. This group may be relatively small in comparison to the whole community of gamers, but it definitely seems more prevalent here.

I also agree that localization of games should occur more often, as well as globalized releases that it seems Luigi's Mansion will be getting. I think those promote sales, as well as special bundles and designs for the 3DS.

Vita does have more potential as a gaming system :)

biggest load of crap ever. Each system has as much potential as the developers care to give it.

Wii is the proof of that. 99% taked on motion controls 1% utlised it well becuase they thought about how to use it as a primary thought and not an after thought when game was finished.

What is actually put out on a system is not a reflection of its potential, Potential refers to what something capable of being, not of what it becomes. Now put in context, I personally believe the Vita has the potential to be a far better system then the 3DS, this is becuase I believe its hardware can allow the creation of better games. Whether developers realise this potential is irrelevant to my point.

Now put any favouritsm aside, do you not believe that the Vita would be a better home for most games? I do, but you don't have to agree with me.

Games I think would benefit more from Vita's hardware then the 3DS's: Kid icarus, Residet Evil Revelations, OOT, Kingdom hearts, Monster Hunter 4, the pokemon franchise, Nintendogs, New super mario bros, Super mario 3D, any FInal fantasy games games and most RPGs, Any metroid prime title.... I could go on forever, All arcade style game.  The point is, I would trade in dual screen controls (very few games actually use it other then to show a map) and 3D (which I don't like) and replace it with comfortable, dual analouge stick controls, better graphics/physics/AI and ability to view them on a 5'' Oled display.  You may favour 3DS's features more, but hopefully you will see how one system may have more potential then another.

But of course I'm a gamer and so I will go to where ever the games are, but because of the above, I hope most big 3rd franchises (final fantasy, monster hunter etc) and new IPs (especially JRPGs) come to the Vita. And as I'm a Zelda and Pokemon fan, I'll likely pick up the 3DS when a new entry in either one of those franchises arrive for the system.
