I was at Gamestop for about 10 minutes, and the amount of people interested in New Super Mario Brothers 2 astounded me

I am excited for this game but bummed out by the fact that (here in Australia at least) the 3ds xl is launching a few days after snmb2...is this the case elsewhere? Seems a bit stupid to me but I guess it wont make a difference in the long run.
