I personally found the game really enjoyable, the combat was really good and the story is also pretty good. But there were 2 thing I didn't like about the game:
1- The lack of exploration: when you're in the sky 90% of the islands don't have anything in them (unless you got the goddess cube thing) it really takes the immersion of exploration like Wind Waker had, it's just a really boring over-world
2- What the heck happen to night!?: maybe some people will consider this nitpicking but I hate the lack of things you can at night, modern Zelda games do a really good job while exploring the land in the night, it sometimes feel like a different world with so much stuff do do. SS took it away, there are only 3 places you can go at night: Skyloft, the pumpkin place and Beedle's place, and aside for some side-quest and getting the gratitude crystal there isn't anything to do, again just plain boring.
Well those are my only complaints, there are other things but these 2 are the mayor ones I can think of right now. It's a great game but definitely not the best in the series
