Why do adults watch Pixar or Dreamworks movies? Sure, they've got a cute and cuddly aesthetic that reaches out to young ones with ease, but the writing, animation, and subtle references are enough to entertain adults as well. It's this brand new concept known as "all ages entertainment."
I'm sure the show STARTED as just for kids, but all of Lauren Faust's shows apparently meshed will with an adult demographic. There's nothing wrng with a show that's easily enjoyable by kids but cleverly written enough that adults can enjoy it, too.
This is actually sexism...a young boys show wouldn't get nearly the amount of ire a little girls show does...if it's a show for young boys, then no biggie, whatever..but a little girls show? We're all creepy perverts or whatever. Sexism as its most subtle, boys and girls!
