The fact that i never knew that people hated ffii , ffiii , ffv, ffviii , ffx and ffxii till I got into gaming forums, seriously some of you guys just can't enjoy a game if someone told you not to enjoy it, I bet most of the games you hate , you used to love, but now you are afraid of not belonging in the "cool hipster dudez" train.

I know what you mean. I found it hard to believe the harsh critics Final Fantasy XIII received. For me it was on of the most mature storytelling I ever experienced in a video game. The story was very deep and the characters felt very human.

FF13 was a very complex game where you have to think about what is actually going on. Thats what might put off many gamers because most western games do not require much intelligence to understand the story (that means if there is one in the first place) . I couldn't understand why people had problems with names like "L'Cie" or "Fal'cie"...

That reminds me of a quote from Terry Pratchett:

"That seems to point up a significant difference between Europeans and Americans. A European says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with me?" An American says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with him?" "
