I think most people are aware that some of this loss will be due to PS4 R&D but that in no way changes the fact that SCE has posted almost non-stop losses this generation. You are making out like the losses are some abnormality. 

Also I LOVE how you say people are more concerned about pointing out Sony's losses whereas you are trying to explain them.... You are actively trying to spin the information. Instead of looking at the whole picture you have expressely buried your head in the sand and said ONLY TWO YEARS COUNT! So how about in your next post you gather the information for SCE since the beginning of the PS3 and then go ahead and explain those losses.

Yes, SCE posted losses continously but then it also posted profits continously for two years, if YOU want to ignore that, then I can't help it. I am not spinning anything more like you guys are twisting my words.

I can probably explain all of their losses too, it's just that most intelligent people know that by now. No one said only two years count, but I like how you guys think only overall losses count when we are talking about just one year.

Here's the thing, though, mantlepiecek:  one good year does not a sustainable business make.  Especially when that one good year's profits are combined with the bigger picture that entails 1) the unit overall is still GREATLY in the red despite the successes of previous generations, 2) the resurgent PS3 is still in a 3rd place market position for this generation, 3) as of now the newly launched PS Vita does not look like it will return the unit to profitability and lastly 4) the overall financial health of Sony Corporation.

By definition alone, your complaint is cherry picking.  It's sitting the middle of a burning building at night and feeling good because at least you have some light.  And to demean others who see the overall health of the company and sustainability of the SCE unit as INTREGAL to having a future Playstation in their lives is dangerous denial of the realities that we are right in front of you.

The topic of this thread is not good news.  It may not be in the end of the world, but it is NOT good news and to present it in any way as such is borderline delusional.  For the record, nothing personal, man.  And I genuinely mean that.
