A game that I found extremely fun to play was the original Waverace. The water physics really added a new dimension to what could have been an ordinary racing game. Too bad I only got a minigame version of it on the Wii. :(

This is where I have to step in and add some of my "Who cares?" video game knowledge.

You are clearly speaking about Wave Race 64, but the original Wave Race was a Gameboy game released in 1992. It was a top down racing game which already used the buoys course design found in the later home console games.

Another interesting thing to know: This game wasn't released in Europe until 1997 where it piggybacked on the release of Wave Race 64.

On topic: Picross 3D. A logic puzzle that is only possible on a video game system. It's simply fascinating to remove small blocks out of a big block to see what kind of thing comes out at the end.

Who cares?

Seriously though, I didn't know about the Gameboy game.  Was it any good?
