Why do people hate on Mario?

yes. why cant mario have a great story? it has an amazing world already why not give it a great story? 

Because a video game is not about story? You act like a story is important to video games I mean that's like saying story is important to porn because it's not. The gameplay is important which mario games have, artstyle which is diffrent each game(what mario games have you played to say it's the same?) and the music which all mario games have diffrent great soundtacks
