Yes but it was marketed towards the core community and was also in line with the natural evolution of gaming tech (i.e. graphics).
Motion controls are a disruptive evolution, in that it isn't a no-brainer approach, and in that sense S.T.A.G.E. is correct.
Regardless, being the natural course of action doesn't make one more legitimate than another, imho.
