I don't think so.

I think it's because it grows on us. Starts as kids and keeps on going. It's harder to love something when you're older. And Sony and Microsoft always try for that older edgier - goes where graphics are - gamer.

More important now:  when Nintendo fans grow, they teach their toddlers how to love nintendo.

There was a very beautiful comic strip showing that: kids playing mario as kids and then playing Mario Galaxy as parents - like a "Mario then and now" thing - but I can't find it. Anyone knows it?
