Out of principle, I refuse to pay more than $60 for a game. If these games are released for $80, I'm not buying them until they're $40 or less. My reasoning is that for each sale they get for $20 over the price point I will accept, I will only buy it $20 under the price point that I'd normally accept.
I buy a lot of new games, and for most of the games half of the games I pay $40 or less for, even brand new (TRU "buy 2 get 1 free" sales, specials on various games -- CC sells some hot games for $10 under retail the day of launch, or retail specific deals like the TRU buy SMG get $25 gift card sale.
Using another coupon, the $25 gift card and the buy 2 get 1 free sale, I got 4 $50 games for something like $100.
