They never said that. They said they HOPED the game to sold 10 million, whereas they expected it to sell about 1.5 million.
I am glad they are making more games, Dragon's Dogma is one of the best RPGs I've played in quite a while. It has tons of promise though, if they can just remove that roughness around the edges they this series could make it very far.
