I'm pretty sure Ratatouille had quite deep meanings to it's theme. Like most movies do this day. It wasn't just a Rat cooking like you said.
And that sell toy cars point made no sense to me. I didn't enjoy the Cars movies as much as I did some other Pixar movies but they were still alright and I didn't get a whole marketing scheme feel from it.
I'm glad we have the same opinion on this!
