| Pineapple said: It's possible but highly unlikely. Let's look at it this way: Have any X360 games sold 4 million from week 31 and out? Halo 3 just failed to do it. It was at roughly 7.7 after 31 weeks (the exact amount is impossible to find, as it wasn't in the top 30 in the weeks around week 31) GTA:IV is about 700k off, being at 6.3 million after 31 weeks (without a holiday!) and ending at 9.6. None of the Call of Duties came close (obviously!), and nothing else sold enough (barring Kinect, which is obviously discounted for this). But the thing is, GTA IV and Halo 3 have had over 4 years to do this, with increasing software sales nearly every year. The X360 is past/passing its prime, and definitely doesn't have 4 more years with healthy software sales. Outlegging Halo 3 is simply impossible for Skyrim under the circumstances. 3 million more - resulting in 9 million overall - is going to be hard too, and I think it'll fall a bit short of that. So in betwen 8.5 million and 9 million. |
Good point. It looks impossible when you put it that way. I didn't fully believe it'll get to 10m, but 10m sounds way better than 9m lol. Still amazing sales though.
