Nothing, other than consumer backlash. The internet has already enabled companies to do a lot of unseemly stuff. An all digital future is just going to be that much worse, and an all streaming future, that much worse still. No more being able to find games that are out of print (the digital version of this being that the company has gone under or there is an IP dispute and the game has been removed from DD services). No more being able to sell a game because you didn't like it. No more being able to shop around for the best deal on platform exclusive games. I'm not saying it's the end of the world or that there aren't some economic forces still at play, of course, but I'm convinced that it's still going to be worse than what we've had.
