It affects THE game due to peoples attention spans being quite low and only being able to focus on a few things at once. If too many things are coming from the 3DS, it may drown out a lot of the hype for THE game on Vita. It's speculation and it may not actually hinder the Vita, but it is an equally valid hypothesis.
