Yeah, I thought that too. Nintendo was both dumb and kind (to avoid fan-rage) revealing this just before the launch of Pokemon.

Yeah, I thought the same. It was pretty nice of them though as some people would probably have been playing pokemon on a DSi LL, so moving to the smaller screen 3ds would be a "downgrade" screen size-wise.
