Only when playing DS games, which has longer life on the regular 3DS, too.

The comparison is 3-5 hours playing 3DS games on regular 3DS, and 3.5-6 hours on 3DS XL.

 

Anyway, can someone from Europe confirm whether or not the two demos have shown up on eshop, yet? I've checked here in Australia, and they're not yet up. I'm worried that Australia's going to miss out on the demos.

Yeah its on the offical site now. 6-10 hrs for 3ds games seemed impossible for 3ds games. An extra hour is still a big deal though.

No AC adatpters XD.

[Update: Nintendo says that the U.S. version WILL come with an AC adapter. Japan is doing their own thing over there.]
