Not sure over 300 pounds... but according to the WHO America is 9th.
Of course they are judging by BMI which many people criticize as being a poor indicator for actual health since it doesn't take into account muscle. A body buidler for example would be considered extremley obese. This can be used to explain why these numbers seem silly high for countires not in the pacific islands.
