They announced a New Super in this thing. This has pretty much become Nintendo's preferred method of announcements. Anything goes.

That said, new hardware is unlikely considering Miyamoto's recent comments on the matter, but I'll keep my fingers crossed as well.

Well, if they do choose to announce a new 3DS model for one of these Direct broadcasts, I would be very surprised. Games though? Yeah, Nintendo will probably reveal anything they want if they feel the time is right.
