That only happens when you handle the controller like a complete retard. The correct way is to hold the controller exactly the same as a traditional controller: with your elbows resting on your lap.

Isn't ideal for every set up. For me, my TV wall mounted (partially due to my poor placement), I'm essentially required to stand in order to play any Wii title.

Placing your sensorbar below your TV might improve that, but I can imagine that in some cases it's next to impossible to play an FPS on the Wii. In most cases I'd prefer it over dual analogue for speed and immersion.

I would if I could. The sticky tape+stand to attach to the TV has been lost in 2 moves. My Wii is from April 2007.
