Nintendo has violent core games: Metroid, Star Fox, Battallion Wars, Fire Emblem.

"Why hasn't Nintendo made a game similar to Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, etc? "

Caaaauuusssse...

Ninty never made such gaemz, most of their IP dates back from the NES/SNES era, I think their latest core IP was Pikmin from the GC gen. Correct me if Im wrong tho

They created some for Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles, Pandoras Tower and ... Disaster Day of Crisis. The last one may answer the OP. It is a violent core game from Nintendo, but it sold badly. Maybe Nintendo wanted to concentrate on more successful titles.

It has violence yes, but fantasy violence acceptable for even children to play. Mild and acceptable and very fund indeed. Realistic violence? heh nope. Really, it shouldn't matter how many violent games they make, rather they need newer IP's that are an example of the new era of gaming.

God of war is acceptable for children to play, because it features fantasy violence? And Disaster is set more or less in our world, without fantasy-stuff.

And what is the new era of gaming? According to sales I would think motion control and Wii Fit is the new era of gaming,

What are you talking about? I said fantasy violence, not realistic. Fantasy violence is the same child-like Violence Zelda has been providing for years where it just enough for a child to play without being "too much". Nintendo provides this brand of entertainment and they dont stray far from it. Theres nothing wrong with fantasy violence as long as the game is good.

Agreed.
