Now exclude handhelds and you get the point. Japan is basically handheld only these days.
Last week 110.701 systems were sold, 88040 were handhelds.
In the UK there were 35.083 systems sold and 20978 were consoles.
For consoles and spending on consoles, UK is about as big as Japan, which is pretty good if you think about the population. There is a reason why Japanese game developers are having a hard time these days.
