Disagree. Tomorrow Never Dies was awesome for me! Especially the car scene in the garage when he controls it from his phone. And a pretty decent story, and lots of action.

A lot of people like the car scene.  I described in detail why I didn't.  We can agree to disagree on that.

I can understand you liking the action in the movie, but the story might be the worst in the entire series.  A Rupert Murdoch wannabe creates the news in order to get it first?  C'mon.  It doesn't get any lamer than that for a Bond film.

Haha well it may be lame but at least it's more original than Russians with a bomb!...or the Daniel Craig movies, based a round a poker game and oh no if he loses he'll be financing terrorism! And whatever Quantum of Solace was about...I don't even remember, saw it in theatres and never watched it again.

I think I'm just biased towards the Brosnan movies since they're newer and a bit more action oriented than the older ones. I look forward to your review of Die Another Day haha I liked that one...but my foresight is telling me you most likely hated it.

Edit: Shit I forgot about The World is Not Enough being next. I guess I have to wait 2 weeks

Originality doesn't matter as long as the story isn't lame.  The story in TND is lame.  Very lame.  The older movies had a lot of action also.  They just happened to have a story as well.  And about the lame story in Casino Royale...  It is a modern take on Ian Fleming's original novel and is pretty faithful to it in a lot of ways.  A guy that finances terroism with a gambling problem is actually a lot more believable than most of the stories.  That original novel has spawned over 40 sequels and over twenty movies so it couldn't have been that bad, could it?

Marks, you're a smart guy.  Earlier in this thread I said that this was Brosnan's 2nd best Bond film so you tell me if I like DIe Another Day or not.

Well on the flip side of what you said (originality doesn't matter if the story is lame)...faithfulness doesn't matter if it's being faithful to something that is lame :)

Hahaha and yeah I know full well you didn't like DAD...I'll just be interested to read your reasons why! lol. I didn't love it either...but it was a decent movie.
