they re selling poorly because of severals factors and thats out of their control right now, at least they are making a (small) profit on each system sold...

hmm the language it's tricky, like just prefers, it's not that it's what they really prefer, it's what they have to deal with, like PS3 they know that in the long run they'll sell.

Making a profit is better than not making a profit anyday. They probably make most of their profit on accessories and memory cards anyway. I'm sure there's a balance between selling consoles, and profit from games and accessories. 

OT: A Price cut will probably happen since now the VITA is bundled with a free game which is close enough to a price cut.
