The vita boxes are tiny. 2 sq. ft of shelf space can hold ~20 Vitas.
It will remain in stock. If somebody walks into an electronic store and the Vita has been removed from Stock, that person will confused and then will think negatively of the retailer.
Sony is waiting for the holidays to push hard with the Vita.
And I do think they need to make it $199 just in time for Christmas. $250 for that new white Assassins Creed Bundle and any other new bundle.
Sales will improve, then they need to find a way for Japan to switch from PSP to Vita. Once that happens- the Vita will be set for Life.
Sony is in more control of how the Vita sells at this point than the consumer is. Keeping mediocre sales right now must make financial sense instead of dropping the price on the Vita in the middle of the summer.
Sony isn't stupid.
