I've noticed quite a few people on reddit (colloquial evidence, I know) switching from 360 to PS3 lately. These kind of people have played / are still playing all the big multi-plats on 360. They buy a PS3 and play all the exclusives, and most likely buy them pre-owned. I suspect that has some reality in the hardware vs. software sales.
(Heck, I still buy a lot of games pre-owned that I missed out on during my years as a PC gamer)
