That's all relative, there were around 5 towns in the game, only Luca had many areas, but even then Luca wasn't too much bigger, and the Al-Behd town is one time only. Two Zupuff stations, 3 stand alone temples. And a few stand alone inns. There was plenty in the game. |
Yeah, but I really enjoyed the huge and busy feeling places of Galbadia, Narshe, Midgar, Esthar, Timber, and those sorts of towns. As well as some really comfortable feeling towns like Kohlingen, the Shumi Village, Cosmo Canyon, Winhill (which you could say about certain places in FFX for sure).
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't really want to speak badly about FFX, because I feel it is certainly one of the best FF games; but there are some aspects I did miss from previous games - but I also liked others that were added. I liked the return to a turn-based Battle system with a new approach to how turns are awarded.
Another thing, FFX had a lot of people wandering around the world, which was a very nice addition.
So I will say this, that FFX is my fourth favourite, but that it is not meant to be a put-down in any way because I would still count it among my very favourite games along with FF6, 7, and 8.
FF12, had some big towns, but also BIG EMPTY SPACES where there was litterally nothing to do but walk around.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
