All the Nintendo fan boys are adamant that Nintendo Online has been fine for all these years so Nintendo had no reason to spend on any infrastructure or services to make it happen.
They also didn't just go and enlist Valve to make Steam the service of choice for the Wii U.
EA is building their own called Origin and Nintendo has done zip.
Don't expect to enjoy your online centric 3rd party games on Nintendo's Wii U because Nintendo doesn't care for that expense when people are willing to buy 20+ million copies of Mario Kart DS which is their stand-alone online franchise.
