No. I don't consider showing a port of a year old game and Zombie Game #1,300,033 to be a "big push" with core games.

then your money is good as gone. Even when TLOU was revealed a lot of people were a bit taken aback because it had a zombie-like creature in it. The whole internet was like great to see ND in a new IP but another zombie game? It's only after they saw what makes it much different than the rest that people got on board with it

Badgenome is absolutely right. Nintendo are not doing a good job in bringing in the core fans outside of their nintendo fans with their actions. Not with the games, and definitely not with the online.
