Did Microsoft just make Nintendo's Wii U tablet irrevelant?

While I am not convinced that it makes WiiU irrelevant (Buttons go a LONG way), I do not understand the argument of "Well, people need to buy a 360 AND a phone/tablet".

Who at this point DOES NOT have a tablet, let a lone a smartphone? If you own a 360, you can almost no doubt use this new feature out of the box. Plus most phones have ~4" screen, so not too much lost out to the WiiU and it's 5".

Still, no physical buttons, so the uses are quite limited.
