Also, simple question for everyone, can smartglass do what ZombiU does? No.
So technologically speaking, the WiiU pad is much more interesting than smartglass. I won't say that smartglass is uninteresting, but the WiiU pad uses bluetooth tech, while smartglass is done over the internet, so there is a much higher latency there.
From a marketing perspective, the WiiU pad will benefit from MS' advertisement push as PSWii60 mentioned, also Nintendo dominates Microsoft in the casual market, by a landslide, so it's a no-contest.
