Just came in here to say one thing: While I love the inclusion of multiple controller types that are better suited for different games, I feel like Nintendo is making it too confusing for most consumers and also confusing for publishers (which controller method do they primarily develop for?). It's a segmentation of user base, in a way.

And it's only going to confuse the more mainstream population.

i 100% agree and see this a possibly a big problem for the wii U.  i really want to know exactly what comes in the box with the wii U.

being BC with the wii is a good start but if the wii U doesn't have at least 1 wii mote can devs make a game assuming everyone will have one?

if not, how hard will it be for devs to support the various optional configurations?

if not supporting all possible configuration, how much confusion will it 'cause customers to explain what extra are required to play?

...i've seen moms at the store unable to figure out why mario isn't on playstation or why gran turismo isn't on xbox ect.  if they can't even keep that straight how hard will it be to keep all the various controller options straight? how made will they be to come home with a game they can't play?
